A river town that turns gold twice — once in the sky, once in the water
The Douro cuts Porto in half and the whole city faces it, so at sunset you get the light directly and again off the water. I shot from the Gaia bank looking back at the Ribeira, which is the side that catches the last of it.
Porto's riverfront is a working wine port that became a UNESCO site without ever stopping being a working wine port. The lodges on the Gaia side still hold the barrels.
The image is infused into the surface of the metal itself, not printed on top of it. Starlight reads as actual luminance rather than ink, which is why astrophotography belongs on metal.
Care: Wipe with a dry microfibre cloth. No cleaners, no glass spray.
