The city makes its own weather, and its own light
Manhattan does not offer you a composition; it offers you a hundred and asks you to choose. I worked the geometry — the way the avenues cut a corridor for the light, the way glass throws it back down again — and waited for the moment the sky and the streetlights reached the same brightness. That balance lasts a few minutes and then it is gone.
New York is a canyon system built in a century instead of an epoch. The light behaves the same way it does in stone: channelled, reflected, and briefly perfect.
The image is infused into the surface of the metal itself, not printed on top of it. Starlight reads as actual luminance rather than ink, which is why astrophotography belongs on metal.
Care: Wipe with a dry microfibre cloth. No cleaners, no glass spray.
