The story behind this frame

“The city makes its own weather, and its own light”

Manhattan does not offer you a composition; it offers you a hundred and asks you to choose. I worked the geometry — the way the avenues cut a corridor for the light, the way glass throws it back down again — and waited for the moment the sky and the streetlights reached the same brightness. That balance lasts a few minutes and then it is gone.

New York is a canyon system built in a century instead of an epoch. The light behaves the same way it does in stone: channelled, reflected, and briefly perfect.
